NEED TO KNOW

  • Andy Cohen made a reference to his relationship during Watch What Happens Live
  • Cohen noted his own “16-year age-gap relationship” while chatting with his guests about age gaps
  • He previously confirmed his relationship and revealed that he had met “the person” during a June 8 episode of Andy Cohen Live

Andy Cohen is getting in on the relationship talk.

On Wednesday, July 8, after an audience member at Watch What Happens Live asked guest Georgia McCann how she felt about her Next Gen NYC costar Ava Dash “canoodling” with Kyle Cooke, McCann had a question for those on set.

McCann, 27, asked, “When does a woman hook up with a man 18+ years older for anything?” As her fellow guests chimed in, the camera cut to Cohen, who joked: “Don’t put the camera on me.”

“I’m only in a 16-year age-gap relationship,” he said after covering his face with a cue card.

Cohen, 58, confirmed his relationship and revealed that he had met “the person” during the June 8 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. The confirmation came shortly after photos made the rounds of him holding hands on a birthday outing with Kevin Sobieski in New York City.

Cohen revealed at the time that he and his now-boyfriend met at his friend Justin’s July Fourth party in 2025. Since then, he has described him as “kind,” “strong,” “smart,” an “adult” and someone who “loves” his children. Cohen is the father to Lucy, 4, and Ben, 7.

“I have to say, it’s been so easy. Eleven months, we’ve not had one fight. We haven’t had a disagreement. We just view life the same way,” he said. “And one year later, I still can’t believe I found him.”

Cohen wanted to be “smart and slow” about his relationship before sharing the news with fans, he added. He planned to announce the relationship when they marked one year together, but decided to do so sooner after the photos of them hit the internet.

He and Sobieski were seen leaving a dinner at Via Carota in New York City on Tuesday, June 2.

During an episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in October, Cohen opened up about his dating life and shared that he’d been on “some dates.” He described his type as “strong, independent, smart, has their own thing going, handsome.”
