Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni was overwhelmed with emotion after his team’s incredible comeback victory over Egypt national football team in the World Cup. Speaking to broadcaster TyC Sports after the final whistle, Scaloni struggled to hold back tears as he reflected on one of the tournament’s most dramatic matches. Unable to continue the interview, he apologised, wiped his eyes and walked away before later saying, “I cried because I’m too emotional. For all of us who play football, these emotions are incredible,” while also revealing that his players affectionately call him “the crybaby” because of how openly he shows his emotions.
