There is some relief for the South African speedster Lungi Ngidi and the Delhi Capitals (DC) after a scary moment during their IPL 2026 clash against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 25. Lungi Ngidi has now been discharged from the hospital and has returned to the DC team hotel.

The fast bowler had suffered a head injury during DC’s previous IPL 2026 match against Punjab Kings, which left everyone worried for him. Thankfully, doctors have confirmed that there is nothing serious or life-threatening.

However, Ngidi is still under close medical observation and will need some more time to recover fully. Because of this, he is all but ruled out of Delhi Capitals’ home match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 27 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
