India’s national cricket team is in Sri Lanka for the two-match Test series. Ahead of the Test series, they are playing a warm-up game, and during the match on Saturday, Ravindra Jadeja was involved in a funny incident with the team’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir. As both were seen laughing in the dressing room, creating a light-hearted moment.

Ravindra Jadeja came back into the side after missing the one-off Test against Afghanistan. There were speculations of him being dropped from the last Test match; however, dismissing everything, the selectors picked him for the Sri Lanka Test, and he showcased his experience in the warm-up game, scoring a fifty on Day 2 of the match.

Ravindra Jadeja mimics Kuldeep Yadav’s action

Ravindra Jadeja is reported to have been mimicking his India teammate Kuldeep Yadav’s action as he was showing it to his head coach, Gambhir. Gambhir was seen laughing out loud during the match as Jaddu was called back soon after scoring his fifty.

In a video posted by SONY LIV, Jadeja was seen copying Kuldeep’s bowling technique in the dressing room. He gripped the ball in the same way, mimicked the spinner’s run-up and his style on what the wrist-spinner does before bowling, and even Gambhir, who is a serious character on and off the field, is never seen smiling much, laughed out loud as Jaddu did the trickery.

Ravindra Jadeja stands tall with bat

Jadeja has been handy with the bat on his comeback to the side. He was retired out on a score of 63 runs and stuck at one end as he came into bat at No.4 for the side. He smacked 7 fours in his gritty innings as he stitched a partnership with Devdutt Padikkal.

Padikkal has been unbeaten with a score of 142 runs, and India are 357/6 as they trail by 6 runs. The Southpaw had been brilliant through his innings came in when Yashasvi Jaiswal was back at the pavilion for a duck, and under pressure, he rose to the No.3 position for the side. He will look to capitalise more on Day 3.

The Men in Blue finished on a high after Gurnoor Brar smacked four sixes in the last over of the day and finished off with an unbeaten score of 36 runs off 18 balls, which also saw Gambhir smiling and appreciating his fiery innings.

Among the batters, KL Rahul got runs as he scored 40 runs, Manav Suthar scored 41 runs, and Saransh Jain scored 22 runs. Dhruv Jurel, Rishabh Pant, and Jaiswal all failed as they scored 1,2 and 0, respectively.

India pacers struggle

India’s bowlers struggled as the pace attack had only Mohammed Siraj in terms of experience, and all the work was done by the spinners. Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Manav Suthar picked up 6 wickets, combining.

Jaddu picked 2/64 in 15 overs, Kuldeep picked 2/76 in 18 overs, and Manav Suthar also picked 2/33 in 13 overs. Sri Lanka Cricket XI scored 363/8 and declared their innings.
