Former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Mohammad Hafeez has completed ICC Level Three coaching and taken a step forward to start a career as a coach. If things go according to his plans, he could soon start his career as a coach.
Mohammad Hafeez, who earned the nickname ‘professor’ during his days as an active cricketer for the national side for his precise all-round abilities. He performed effectively across the formats for the Pakistan cricket team with his batting and spin bowling skills.

After retiring from professional cricket, he started to train himself to become a coach. To percuse a coach at the professional level, he needs certifications from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
With the level three certain, the former all-rounder has taken a step to open his next chapter on the cricket grounds. After retiring from professional cricket, Mohammad Hafeez often attended cricket-related talk shows and panels during the Pakistan cricket team’s matches.
During the previous edition of the T20 World Cup, he worked actively as a cricket expert. During the panels and on his own YouTube channel, the ex-cricketer often shares coaching and strategic tips for the teams. During the past few Pakistan cricket team matches, Hafeez was one of the voices who constantly criticised the nation’s cricket management and the team’s performance.
How he will decorate his coaching career will be revealed in the future, but there is no denying that he was one of the most effective cricketers for the national team in the past.
Mohammad Hafeez’s international career
In 55 Tests and 105 innings, the top-order batter scored 3652 runs with a highest score of 224 and an average of 37.64. In his Test career, Mohammad Hafeez recorded ten centuries and 12 half-centuries. With the ball, he claimed 53 wickets in Tests.
In the One-Day International format, the former all-rounder scored 6614 runs in 218 matches and 216 innings for a batting average of 32.90, which is supported by eleven 100s and 38 half-centuries. Hafeez got 139 wickets in his ODI career.
He decorated his T20 International career with 2514 runs, averaging 26.46 after batting in 108 matches, while he bagged 61 wickets in 79 innings for an economy rate of 6.60.
He captained the Pakistan National Cricket Team to 17 wins in 29 T20Is while recording 11 defeats. In ODIs and Tests, Hafeez led the team in 9 and one matches, respectively.
Pakistan Cricket Board could ban their former cricketers for 2 years
Mohammad Hafeez got the ICC’s level three coaching certificate at the moment when the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has threatened their former cricketers who participated in the Asian Legends League T20 series in Zambia.
PCB, in their official statement, mentioned that they will ban those former cricketers from the nation’s cricket-related activities, including coaching in PSL and any role related to the national team, for two years.
It was also widely reported that Hafeez and a few Pakistani cricketers went to Zambia but did not play a single match as they had no official clearance.
