Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey Welcome 2nd Baby, a Boy: ‘Heart Is Exploding’

The couple, who wed in 2024, are also parents to 14-month-old daughter Colette

Olivia Culpo is a mom of two!

The model, 34, and her husband, Christian McCaffrey, announced in a joint Instagram post shared on Saturday, Oct. 10, that they welcomed their second baby, a boy, on Sept. 29.

“Roman Augustus McCaffrey 🤍,” Culpo captioned the post, revealing her newborn’s name alongside black-and-white photos of herself in the hospital as she gave birth with her NFL star husband, 30, by her side.

In the photos, the couple, who wed in 2024, could be seen holding their son at the hospital as their 14-month-old daughter, Colette, looked on. Another shot showed Culpo standing in a garden as she held Roman and Colette stood by her side.

“Heart is exploding,” the proud mom added in an Instagram Stories post.

Culpo and McCaffrey first announced the news of her second pregnancy on Culpo’s 34th birthday in May.

“Best birthday gift ❤️ Baby #2 coming soon 🥹,” Culpo captioned a joint Instagram post, which included photos of the pair on a picnic with Colette and their dog, Oliver. A strip of sonogram images was displayed on their picnic blanket.

They later posted a video showing the moment they found out Culpo was pregnant — and how they told their families the happy news.

At the beginning of the video, Culpo and McCaffrey were seen waiting for the results of a pregnancy test.

“You’re pregnant!” the San Francisco 49ers running back said before the video cut to them telling their family.

The couple announced their daughter Colette’s birth in a joint July 2025 Instagram post, featuring black-and-white photos of themselves with the baby moments after she was born. Shortly after, Culpo shared several color photos from the day on her Instagram Stories as she described childbirth as “the scariest and most rewarding of all experiences.”

Last October, Culpo opened up about life at home with her daughter. The new mom shared that she was initially worried that becoming a mom would impact her career.

“There’s totally a shift,” she said of motherhood during an episode of The Squeeze podcast. “Whether or not you want there to be or not, you have somebody that’s physically dependent on you. So I’m not going to sugarcoat it. Yeah, it’s scary.”

However, Culpo explained that she’s been able to lean on her NFL player husband while she’s navigated finding a balance between working and motherhood.

“I’m so grateful that I have my husband because while I’m totally working and I’m doing everything in my power to keep working and I’m so happy to have the opportunities that I have,” she explained. “Let’s say they all went away — would I have the same ability 10, 12, 15, 20 years ago to light that fire up my butt when I have somebody who really needs me, which is my baby? No.”

“And I would choose my baby 10 times over, obviously,” she added.
