Richard Gere’s son has kicked his acting career off with a bang, making an appearance in the latest episode of Euphoria for an eyebrow-raising love scene.
Homer Gere, 26, made his silver screen debut in episode seven of the hit series, introduced as famous Hollywood up-and-comer Dylan Reed.
The former scene partner of Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie Howard, Dylan finds himself an unwitting pawn in Cassie’s ongoing quest for superstardom.
Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) initially encourages Cassie to pursue a fling with the actor to leverage his extensive social media following to her advantage.
She proceeds to seduce Dylan while drunk, leading to an explicit scene where the pair sleep together – which only proved a means to an end for the wannabe actress.
It was all revealed to be a part of Cassie’s master plan; as she later took advantage of Dylan’s distraction to post a photo of them in bed together from his Instagram account.
The ploy had the desired effect, with Maddie later dropping by to inform Cassie that the post had gone viral.

This latest episode marked Homer’s very first major TV acting appearance.
During the Euphoria season three premiere in April 2, the 26-year-old told Entertainment Tonight about the “great advice” he’d received from his ’90s heartthrob father.
“It’s not necessarily related to like the craft, but more like, ‘How do you carry yourself? How do you make this work in a positive way?'” Homer shared.
Acting debut aside, fans are dying to know more about the young actor.

Who are Homer Gere’s parents?
The rising star, born Homer James Jigme Gere in Westchester, New York, is the son of Law & Order alum Carey Lowell and Pretty Woman heartthrob Richard Gere.
The former couple tied the knot in 2002, but separated in 2013 before finalising their divorce three years later.
After a volatile, high-profile custody battle between his parents that ended in 2016, Homer ultimately lived primarily with Lowell.
Speaking about his son to The Guardian in 2002, Richard admitted that Homer, then just two years old, was “the love of [his] life.”
“Loves music, very fast runner, very smart, very funny,” the star gushed.
The father-son duo remain incredibly close, consistently maintaining contact and speaking “most days” – despite Richard currently living abroad in Spain with second wife Alejandra Silva.
Homer is also big brother to his father’s two sons with Silva – Alexander Gere, born in 2019, and James Gere, born in 2020.
A recent transition to acting
As Homer took his tentative first steps onto the world stage, father Richard Gere revealed in 2024 that he “didn’t understand” the true extent of his in-built fame.
“It just so happens that he’s only recently started acting himself,” Richard added. “He’s suddenly become interested and seems to be enjoying it.”
“He’s been writing and directing small films, so we have this new thing in common.”
In addition to his silver screen debut in Euphoria, Homer has one additional project set for release this year.
The Shards, an upcoming erotic thriller in which Homer has a starring role, is set to follow a group of privileged highschoolers as they navigate coming of age in the “untamed and mysterious era of Los Angeles 1981.”
Prior to this, he appeared in a number of smaller roles in short films from 2022 to 2025.
He also boasts an additional on-screen credit for an appearance in Khatumu’s music video for the song Hunting Days in 2024.
Despite his star now appearing to rise, Homer appears to be keeping a relatively low profile on social media; with no known Instagram, TikTok or X accounts.
