There are at least six teams that have inquired about Alexander Nikishin
The Fourth Period: The Carolina Hurricanes continue to talk to teams about RFA defenseman Alexander Nikishin, who is looking for a trade out of Carolina.
Among the teams that have inquired are the St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Islanders, Nashville Predators, Philadelphia Flyers and Seattle Kraken.
The Hurricanes offered the Winnipeg Jets Nikishin in a package for Connor Hellebuyck, but he didn’t want to sign with the Jets. The Hurricanes have looked at moving Nikishin for pieces that might interest in the Jets, but have been unsuccessful so far.
Nikishin is believed to be looking for a seven-year deal in the $8 to $9 million range.
