The Canucks have just under $18 million in salary cap space and could look to bring in free agent, despite having a full 23-man roster. Some options could include.
Patrik Laine – One of the top free agents. Could restore his value with plenty of power-play time.

Eeli Tolvanen – The 27-year-old put up 12 goals and 24 assists with the Kraken last season. He had 23 goals the previous year.
Vladimir Tarasenko – The 34-year-old could be flipped at the deadline. Put up 23 goals and 24 assists last season for the Wild.
Michael Bunting – A middle-six winger who has shown he can play with skilled players.
Nick Blankenburg – Put up 24 points in 61 games with the Predators and Avalanche last season. Can play on both sides of the puck.
Logan Stanley – Put up career highs last year with nine goals and 17 assists. Has size at 6′ 7″.
Other notables – Reilly Smith, David Perron, James van Riemsdyk, John Klingberg, Adam Henrique, and Jonathan Drouin.

Hayes: “But Larkin’s got to come around to it, you know, and obviously he hasn’t as of now. But the idea of having Suzuki and Larkin as your one-two in Montreal, with all the firepower they have on the wing, and all of the prospects they have in the system-that just makes too much sense.”

Corrado: “Yeah, and well, that’s the thing. It’s not like you’re bringing in a $13 million player into a cap structure where Noah Dobson’s your highest paid guy at nine and a half. Like he, he fits.
The interesting thing there is like (Cole) Caulfield and Larkin, they skate together in the summer. So it’s not like, you know, it’s not like there’s no Americans there. It’s not like there’s no one that he would know there.”
Hayes: “Hutson and Caulfield are both there.”
