His mom even commented herself, sweetly writing: "I love you, my amazing son ♥️"

Arline has been seeking his mom's fashion advice since high school.

"I would always get her opinion before I left the house, and once I was away from home, I still wanted her feedback," he tells PEOPLE. "That’s when I began sending her videos or pictures. Some days I just send photos if I’m rushing, and other times I’ll FaceTime her instead."

The mother-son duo has long shared a love of fashion, which Arline sees as "a way to express yourself and show a bit of your personality before you even say a word."

From a young age, he says, his mom imparted on him and his siblings "the importance of looking your best."

"I truly believe that when you feel confident in your outfit, it can make your whole day better," says Arline. "She’s the one who showed me that style isn’t just about clothes, it's about carrying yourself with pride and showing the world who you are without saying a word."

Arline says that his mom's feedback on his outfits "can range from suggesting a different pair of shoes to telling me to change my pants or that my outfits don't fit the environment I'm going into"

He adds that her input has been "really helpful," especially as he embarks on an internship.

"I like to challenge the usual idea of business casual, so being able to send my mom my outfits and get her feedback, like whether something might not be the best choice for the office has been really valuable," he explains. "She notices things that I might overlook, and her perspective helps me refine my style while still having fun with it. It feels like having my own personal stylist who also understands my personality and what I'm trying to express."
