Janelle Brown is celebrating the latest update at her new North Carolina home — with a little help from her boyfriend Pete!
The Sister Wives star shared an update on Instagram on Thursday, Oct. 15, revealing a new addition to her home and praising her boyfriend for helping her bring the project to fruition.
“7 months of bare windows in the main living area. In fairness, there was a whole lot else going on,” she wrote in the caption, revealing her new curtains that adorn the windows. “A big thanks to Pete, who willingly works through my honey-do list. It’s also so much more interesting to work on projects with someone.”
Janelle included a few more shots of her newly hung curtains in her living room on both sides of her fireplace, as well as on the windows overlooking her porch.
Janelle’s new North Carolina home sits on a 156-acre plot of land that she previously purchased with her daughter, Madison Brush, and son-in-law, Caleb Brush.
She first told her Instagram followers about the big purchase in December 2024, and revealed in March of this year that she was finally able to move in. PEOPLE got a first look at the emotional moment she got the keys to her new abode during a preview for season 21 of Sister Wives, which premiered Oct. 4.
“So after all these months, this is the day,” she said in the scene. “I went and signed the paperwork, and I even have the key. So yeah, I’m going to go take a look around.”
“It’s so interesting because I knew today was coming, and I’m really excited, but I’m almost kind of … I don’t want to say detached, but I’m just sort of taking it all in,” she continued. “And this happens for me sometimes when it’s really big. Just how I’m wired.”

Along with her new home, Janelle shared another major personal life update earlier this year when she revealed she was in a relationship with Pete, four years after announcing her split from husband Kody Brown.
After breaking the news in August, she’s since been sharing more tidbits about their relationship, including how the two currently live in different states but are “working to change it.”
“Tomorrow I go back to NC and Pete will stay in Vegas,” she explained in the caption of a Sept. 27 post. “We are slowly figuring out the long distance thing as we work to change it.”
