Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) showcased their dominance in the Women’s Premier League 2025 with a resounding nine-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB-W) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Delhi’s bowlers put up an impressive show before their batters made light work of the chase, led by a blistering knock from Shafali Verma.

While Meg Lanning (2 off 12) fell early to Renuka Thakur (1/28), Shafali Verma took charge with a breathtaking 80 off 43 balls, hammering eight fours and four sixes. She found an able partner in Jess Jonassen, who played a fluent 61 off 38 balls, striking nine fours and one six. The duo stitched together an unbeaten 137-run stand, dismantling the RCB-W bowling attack.
RCB-W bowlers had no answers to the onslaught, with Kim Garth (0/25), Ellyse Perry (0/24), and Georgia Wareham (0/21) struggling to contain the flow of runs.
With this dominant nine-wicket victory, Delhi Capitals Women not only secured two crucial points but also boosted their net run rate.
