Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 24th match of IPL 2025. Both teams are coming into the match on the back of a win in their last games, respectively, and will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming clash scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 10

Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a thrilling victory over MI at the Wankhede stadium and claimed their first win against MI at their home ground since 2015, courtesy of an all-round show in all three departments of the game

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are on a rampage with three wins from as many games and are the only unbeaten team in the tournament so far. The Axar Patel-led side dominated the opposition in the last two matches after clinching a come-from-behind win in the first match against LSG.

RCB Playing 11 vs Delhi Capitals- IPL 2025, Match 24:

    Openers: Philip Salt, Virat Kohli

Philip Salt will open the innings for RCB, along with Former captain Virat Kohli. The pair will look to provide a solid start to the team in the first six overs by putting the Delhi Capitals’ bowlers under pressure.

English opener Philip Salt has failed to make a significant contribution in the last couple of matches for RCB, having been dismissed after hitting a six against Mohammed Siraj, followed by a similar sort of dismissal against MI in the last match.

Salt will hope to put on a strong display of batting in the upcoming match against Delhi Capitals and replicate the match-winning performance he delivered against KKR in the season opener.

Virat, on the other hand, made a resounding comeback with a match-winning half-century against MI after struggling to score runs in the last couple of matches, and will carry the same form in the match against DC in Bengaluru.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (c), Liam Livingstone, Jeetesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya

Royal Challengers Bengaluru would be elated with the form of their captain Rajat Patidar, who scored another half-century in the tournament in the match against MI and guided his team to an above-par total. Rajat’s innings ensured that the bowlers had the leverage of an extra 10-15 runs on a flat deck at the Wankhede Stadium.

Patidar was well supported by Jitesh Sharma, who also scored runs in an attacking manner in the final five overs and took RCB over the 200-run mark

Bowlers: Suyash Sharma, Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar

RCB’s fast bowling trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Yash Dayal have done a good job in the first six overs, which was evident in the last match against MI, with Dayal taking the new ball along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar instead of Josh Hazlewood and picking up the wicket of Rohit Sharma.

The spin department of RCB is being handled by experienced all-rounder Krunal Pandya and young leg spinner Suyash Sharma, The duo has played a crucial part in the team’s victories in the tournament so far.
