‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ is not just a movie but an emotion for many. The franchise has two parts, and the audience despite the re-runs on OTT, can’t get enough of this Anurag Kashyap‘s drama. Therefore, there has always been a lot of buzz around the third installment of the movie. Last month, when a picture featuring the OG ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Manoj Bajpayee surfaced, it added fuel to the speculations.
However, unfortunately, for the cinephiles and devoted lovers of the franchise, Nawazuddin Siddhiqui aka ‘Faizal Khan’ has set the record straight by saying there isn’t going to be ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur 3.’
In a recent interaction with Mid-Day, Nawazuddin, who is known for both his vertile career graph, mentioned that neither Anurag Kashyap is planning on the threequel, nor will he be a part of it.
“Anurag won’t make it. Neither will I act in it. I get such offers so much,” he said.
“People even tell me, ‘let’s take your character of Faizal Khan from Gangs and make a film on him,’” added Nawazuddin.

Earlier, Anurag Kashyap in an interview with The Lallantop, also confessed that he is not interested in creating a Wasseypur universe. According to the filmmakers, in a world where everyone is running after making a universe of their franchise, he comes from a different school of thought. He is more keen on making different movies and telling different stories.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, it was released in two parts in 2012. It was a multistarrer whose actors and characters are loved even after decade. The audience finds it hard to forget Manoj Bajpayee as Sardar Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat as Shahid Khan, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Faizal Khan. Not to forget the praiseworthy performances given by Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Huma Qureshi and more, which made sure that the movie gets its mention among the cult classics of Bollywood.
