This upgrade would come about six months after the last update, known as Pectra, which added support for account abstraction, raised the staking limit for validators, and improved how Layer-2 networks work.
A test version of Fusaka is expected to go live July 23. It will include 11 suggested improvements to the Ethereum network.

One of them, known as EIP-7825, is meant to strengthen the network’s defenses and help it process more activity. Developers are also suggesting that the gas limit be raised to 150 million.
However, one proposal, EIP-7907, which would have increased the size of contract code and added better tracking of gas usage, has been dropped to keep the testing process on track. Another change that will not be included is the EVM Object Format upgrade.
The team plans to test Fusaka on two public networks in September and October before releasing it on Ethereum’s main network in November.
As work on Fusaka continues, developers are also preparing for the upgrade that follows, called Glamsterdam. The features for that upgrade will be confirmed on August 1 during a meeting of Ethereum’s core developers.
