Calling all Gilmore Girls fans!
You’ll soon be able to get more of the show you know and love with the announcement of an upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary.
Searching for Stars Hollow is well into production, with Ink On Paper Studios sharing that it will be examining “the beloved show‘s role in American cultural history,” per a press release sighted by The Hollywood Reporter.

Gilmore Girls ran from 2000 to 2007, centering on single mother, Lorelai Gilmore (played by Lauren Graham), and her teen daughter, Rory Gilmore (played by Alexis Bledel), and their lives in the fictional town of Stars Hollow.
In addition to the seven original seasons, the cultural phenomenon spawned a four-part Netflix revival, novels, essays, convention panels, and an enduring online fandom.
The documentary will feature never-before-seen interviews with the likes of cast members Kelly Bishop, Jared Padalecki and Chad Michael Murray, Keiko Agena (who played Lane Kim), Sally Struthers (Babette Dell), Liz Torres (Miss Patty), Emily Kuroda (Mrs. Kim), Rose Abdoo (Gypsy), Kathleen Wilhoite (Liz Danes), Matt Jones (Morgan) and Grant Lee Phillips (the town troubadour).

It will also feature behind-the-scenes tidbits from crew members such as director Jamie Babbit, writer and producer Stan Zimmerman, casting directors Jami Rudofsky and Mara Casey, and Kevin T Porter, host of the Gilmore Guys podcast.
According to the kikckstarter for the show, the feature-length documentary “researches, tells, and transforms the story you thought you knew of how Gilmore Girls came to life, why it continues to resonate across generations, and how its unique blend of humor, heart, and pop culture shaped a devoted worldwide fan community.”
