LeBron James Reveals What He’d Do to ‘Keep’ His Marriage to Wife Savannah

LeBron James said he’d do whatever it takes to make his marriage to Savannah work.

During an appearance on the Oct. 14 episode of Savannah’s podcast Everybody’s Crazy, the NBA superstar, 40, spoke about the lengths he’d go to for his wife. “I know I don’t want to be alone, that’s for damn sure,” LeBron said.

“If I got to fight, crawl, scratch, bite, whatever to keep mine, I got to keep it. I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do.”

The Lakers star noted that he’s “an only child” who grew up in a “single-parent household” before meeting his wife at their Akron, Ohio high school. “I know for sure, next time I’m alone, it would be underneath,” he added.

When another guest on the show suggested people who don’t “value” their relationships “shouldn’t be in one.”

LeBron chimed in, saying marriage is “hard as f—, man.”

His appearance on Savannah’s podcast, co-hosted by her longtime friend April McDaniels, comes shortly after LeBron admitted his marriage to Savannah “isn’t perfect.”

During an episode of the 360 with Speedy podcast, released Sept. 18, LeBron said, “I’m gonna be honest, a relationship is never picture perfect.”

“If you’re okay with working through the hardships and the adverse moments, then it will make it all worth it,” LeBron said. “We’ve been together since high school, so, s— ain’t always gonna be a bed of roses, in any relationship, let alone someone you’re living with for over 20 years,” he continued.

Reflecting on how they make their longtime marriage work, LeBron said, “Communication is number one…being honest is number two…and number three is, like, you have to be okay with being uncomfortable in relationships sometimes and you can’t always have it your way, it’s not gonna work that way.”

LeBron and Savannah got married in 2013 and are parents to sons “Bronny” James Jr., 21, and Bryce Maximus, 18, and daughter Zhuri Nova, 10.
