The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has opened the registration window for the Work Inspector recruitment 2025 under Advertisement No. 25/2025. The Public Health Engineering Department, Bihar, Patna earlier postponed the application process due to unavoidable reasons. As per the latest notification, the online application dates have now been extended from 5 December, 2025 to 5 January, 2026. All other terms mentioned in the original advertisement remain unchanged.The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,114 Work Inspector vacancies through direct recruitment. The Bihar General Administration Department has granted approval for these posts, and applications are being accepted through the official website of the Commission.

Note:
- Reservation for women of the Backward Class category applies only to female candidates belonging to the Backward Class.

BTSC Work Inspector recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must ensure they meet the required qualifications and conditions before applying for the Work Inspector post.Educational qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or an equivalent examination from any recognised board in India.
- Additionally, candidates should possess an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in Draughtsman Civil, Surveyor, or Plumber trade from an approved Industrial Training Institute.
Nationality:
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Only natives of Bihar will receive reservation benefits.
- Candidates from outside Bihar will be considered under the Unreserved category.
Age limit (as on 1 August 2025):
- Unreserved (Male): 37 years
- Unreserved (Female): 40 years
- Backward Class (Male/Female): 40 years
- EBC (Male/Female): 40 years
- SC / ST (Male/Female): 42 years
Up to 5 years of relaxation is applicable for eligible contractual government employees as per state resolutions.Pay scale:Selected candidates will receive salary benefits under Level-2 after reinstatement, as per state government norms.
