Denyer, who has been host of the game show Deal or No Deal since 2024, shared a video message to fans.

“Hi everyone. I know there’s a few crazy headlines going on out there that I’ve had a major accident and I’m in hospital but I just wanted to let you all know that I’m A-OK,” he said.

“I was only in hospital for an hour and that was only just for compulsory checks as part of the regulations. It was very minor. It was just a small scrape.

“Someone just tagged my car trying to avoid another parked car, and they just spat as both into the wall, and everything’s A-OK.

“I’m totally fine. It was just a small scrape.”

Denyer also revealed he was already heading back to work.

“In fact, I’ve just landed in Melbourne on my way to film another week’s worth of Deal or No Deal episodes with my new intern, my lovely daughter Scouty’s with me,” he said.

Denyer uploaded the video along with the comment: “I’m totally fine. Was nice to be leading the race, not so nice when a car hit me into the wall.

“But I’m happy, healthy and already back at work filming @dealornodealaus.

“Made my wife brekky in bed today for Easter… and spoilt her like she deserves. Then back to Melbourne this arvo and shocked by the commotion.

“I absolutely adore my family. Love my job. And enjoy racing with @gameovergc. It’s a good day… not a bad one like has been reported. I am sorry.”

Denyer has been on TV screens since 2004 when he became the weather presenter on Sunrise. He stayed with the show until 2006, when he left the role to spend more time with his family.

He later hosted Family Feud from 2014 to 2018 and has appeared as a host and contestant on a number of other TV shows.

He took up motor racing in 2005.

Denyer is married to Cheryl Rogers, a former producer on Sunrise. The two met on the show while she was married to someone else.

They married in 2010 and share three daughters.

Denyer was injured in 2008 while taking part in a monster truck promotional event and suffered a compressed fracture of the lower vertebrae in his back.

He later became addicted to painkillers and sought treatment.
