Tilak Varma struggled for timing, while Hardik Pandya’s slow-paced 18 off 23 deliveries hampered MI’s acceleration in the death overs. A late cameo from Trent Boult, who struck a six in his unbeaten 7 off 2 balls, helped MI reach 159/7.

    The duo ensured there were no hiccups in the chase, stitching together a crucial partnership that took the game away from MI. CSK crossed the finish line comfortably with 11 balls to spare.

    Mumbai Indians’ bowling unit struggled to contain the flow of runs. Jasprit Bumrah was the only bowler to make a notable impact, finishing with figures of 1/20 in his three overs. Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar picked up a wicket but was expensive, conceding 40 runs in his spell. Trent Boult and the rest of the attack failed to create sustained pressure, allowing CSK’s batters to dictate terms.
