The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for Round 2 of NEET UG counselling 2026. Candidates seeking admission through the All India Quota (AIQ), deemed universities and central universities can participate in the second round as per the schedule released on the MCC website.The Round 2 counselling process will begin on September 3, with registration and fee payment opening for eligible candidates. The seat allotment result will be declared on September 11, after which selected candidates will have to report to their allotted institutions within the prescribed deadline.
NEET UG 2026 Round 2 counselling: Key dates
According to the schedule, the tentative seat matrix for Round 2 will be made available on September 1 and 2. Candidates can use the seat matrix to assess the vacancies before submitting their preferences.Registration and payment will be open from September 3 to September 8. Candidates will be able to submit their college and course choices from September 3 to September 9.The choice-locking facility will remain available from 4 pm on September 8 until 10 am on September 9. MCC will process the seat allotment on September 9 and 10, with the Round 2 result scheduled for September 11.Candidates allotted seats in this round will have to report to their respective institutions between September 12 and September 18. Institutes will subsequently verify the data of joined candidates on September 19.
