Elliotte Friedman: Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin won’t be in the lineup, and it sounds like he won’t play until he’s traded.
Pierre LeBrun: “Hearing that trade talks have escalated on Larkin. Which doesn’t mean it necessarily leads to a trade imminently but things have escalated. Things can still go a few different directions at the moment.”
Frank Seravalli: “My understanding is while #LGRW have remained engaged in trade talks, the plan is for Dylan Larkin to sit out for asset protection purposes until a trade is completed. Sounds like Larkin camp has applied pressure.”
Marco D’Amico: “Told that talks advanced between Red Wings and a couple of teams on Larkin’s current trade list. We’ll see how this evolves, but have not gotten any notion that this is a pressure tactic to expand his list of teams as of yet. Interested in what Minny, Washington & Carolina do.”
The Buffalo Sabres and Chicago Blackhawks are Looking for Scoring
Daily Faceoff: Dylan Larkin trade talks have picked up of late, and the same can be said for Simon Edvinsson, according to David Pagnotta yesterday.
“It has sounded like in the last couple of days that things have picked up on both of their fronts from a from a trade side of things.
I still have, you know, I’ve talked to now two teams that have told me that they believe Edvinsson is going to end up being moved at some point, and we’ll see. Obviously, there’s a little over a month to go in terms of trying to get something done for this season for him because he has to sign by December 1st.
Dylan Larkin was not at practice (yesterday) morning, but I do know that Detroit’s been active in conversations involving Larkin. Could be nothing. Maybe he’s battling a little injury or something like that. But could also be something that because these talks have picked up, they’re getting a little bit closer.
I mentioned Carolina before; that’s a team to certainly look out for with, with Detroit. But there are other teams that are trying to engage and have tried to engage. Be it Larkin, and we know his 10-team list, but also Edvinsson, you know, as well.
So we’ll, we’ll see where that goes. I, I still look to St. Louis, Nashville as well. You know a couple of teams on the Edvinsson front. Other teams have checked in. You know Seattle, another team, kind of on that front. And I I wonder more so not on Larkin, excuse me, more so on the Edvinsson side.
Reverse Engineering a Dylan Larkin Trade?
The conversations have picked up, and coming into (yesterday), you know they’ve they’ve kind of maintained that pace, but we’ll see. We’ll see. I guess soon enough, unless there’s an update now on whether Larkin, whether that’s injury related, you know, or something else.”
