Twinkle Khanna grew up in an unconventional setting, with her parents, Dimple Kapadia and the late Rajesh Khanna, separated but not divorced. In the video, Rajesh Khanna fondly shared how his son-in-law, Akshay, enjoys singing and often participates in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Hera Pheri. He humorously described Akshay as someone who brings a lot of fun and mischief, often taking part in movies that showcase his playful nature.
Rajesh Khanna also shared that he advised his daughter Twinkle to keep an eye on Akshay but not to be too strict with him. He playfully told her, calling her Tina (her nickname), to ensure Akshay stays in line but not be so harsh that it causes any strain in their relationship.
During a conversation with Masaba Gupta on Tweak India, Twinkle Khanna shared that her mother, Dimple Kapadia, who was separated from Rajesh Khanna, advised her to live with Akshay Kumar for two years before getting married. Twinkle recalled her mother’s practical approach, saying, “If you make it, then you get married. I’ve seen what it’s like.”
Twinkle Khanna’s latest book, Welcome to Paradise, a collection of short stories, was released in November 2023. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is enjoying the success of his recent film Sky Force, which hit theatres on January 24. The movie also stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur in key roles.
