So, everyone should make a career resolution or two along with those other ambitious personal resolutions. They can be little things like learning a new skill or growing your professional network, or bigger goals like landing a promotion or getting a new job. But how do you know what kind of…

By Katie Azevedo, M.Ed. I often see students take one of two approaches to their weekends: They either ignore school completely until the stress and workload catch up with them, or they spend their weekend frantically catching up on everything they didn’t do during the week. Neither approach is ideal – and that’s where a simple weekend routine for students comes into play. Don’t worry – I’m not about to suggest a 10-step weekend routine that takes hours to complete. Plus, I’ve already created a Sunday Planning Routine for Students. But if you’re looking for a way to lower your…

This week on The Collection, we are talking the Australian band Airbourne. Founded in 2001, however, their first album didn’t come out until 2007. Brothers Joel O’Keeffe and Ryan O’Keeffe along with David Roads and Justin Street bring their musical influences of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Def Leppard and of course being from Australia…AC/DC and create some killer rock music. The AC/DC influence is the biggest as they are now doing what they did in the late 70’s and early 80’s. They are delivering some dirty, gritty, sleazy, no holds barred, uncompromising rock & roll. So go check it…
Writing eight years ago in USA Today, I cheered: “President Trump’s proposed budget takes a big step towards draining the swamp in Washington. This is the first time since the Reagan era that a president has sought a wholesale demolition of boondoggles.” The Washington Post fretted that under Trump’s first budget, “government would be smaller and less involved in regulating life in America.” Well, that didn’t happen. In his first term, Trump was initially thwarted and then mostly routed by the permanent Washington regime. His victory last November provides an epic rematch with the administrative state [or Deep State – whatever term…
