The National Sheriffs’ Association this week dropped its opposition to the crypto Clarity Act, after having previously warned that the proposed bill could help criminals.  Writing Thursday to Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the association said it was changing its stance to neutral given how complex the issue is.  A number of lawmakers were hoping to vote on the Clarity Act in August. In Bitcoin ETF news today, US-listed BTC ETFs pulled in $986.9M in net inflows for the week ending September 4, a +6.7% increase from the prior week, according to CoinGlass data. Over the same five trading days, inflows into Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Hyperliquid ETF products fell between 73% and 96%. The divergence matters because it reverses the script from the week before, when altcoin funds posted triple-digit percentage gains.
