The Beckham family feud has reached a fever pitch, following reports that prodigal son Brooklyn and wife Nicola’s legal team has entered the fray.
It is alleged the couple previously served both David and Victoria with a “cease and desist” notice – and that a breach of said notice was the driving force behind Brooklyn blocking his parents on social media last month.
According to anonymous sources cited by The Daily Mail, Victoria and David were instructed to contact Brooklyn and Nicola through their lawyers exclusively.
“David was told to speak to them via Schillings (Brooklyn’s lawyers). That was the only way for them to communicate,” the source claimed.
The desist letter in question was said to contain explicit instructions surrounding social media activity, including orders to refrain from tagging or mentioning Brooklyn in posts.
But David and Victoria appeared undeterred by this notice, continuing to engage with Brooklyn’s social media content and post various images that included him prior to being blocked.
According to The Sun, it was “weeks of frustration” that led to the social media ice-out, after believing their requests for a private, rather than public, reconciliation with their estranged family were ignored.

The fallout came to a head last month, after Brooklyn’s brother Cruz Beckham, 20, posted an Instagram story claiming Brooklyn’s immediate family had “woken up blocked”.
“Truly, people do not know the full facts of this heart-breaking tale, and think Brooklyn was just being truculent when he blocked his parents,” one source told The Sun.

“The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately not publicly.
“He felt his parents continued to ignore his wishes and kept mentioning him online instead of reaching out privately.”

And it has also come to light that prior to David’s Knighthood ceremony in November, the star footballer extended an olive branch to his eldest son and daughter-in-law.
David is understood to have given the pair the opportunity to join them at Windsor castle for the much-anticipated milestone, in a request that was ultimately declined.
David’s last ditch effort to bury the hatchet was reportedly not appreciated by the couple, who viewed the act as a blatant disregard for clear boundaries.
Brooklyn turned down the opportunity to be at his father’s side for the event due to suspicions that it was an “orchestrated PR opportunity,” on his father’s part, reported The Sun.
But it’s business as usual for both Brooklyn and Nicola amid this latest phase of the Beckham feud, with the pair continuing to post regular social media content.
They were seen spending Christmas in Florida with Nicola’s family, having now cut off all contact with their own.
And today, Brooklyn posted a heartfelt message to his wife for her birthday, saying “I am the luckiest man to call you my wife x you are the funniest and most hard working person I know.”
“can’t wait to stay young with you baby girl.”
Despite the ongoing fallout, Brooklyn is reportedly still in contact with his grandparents on both his mother and father’s side.
