Carrie Anne Fleming, best known for her role in Supernatural, has died at age 51.
The Canadian actress, who also starred in horror productions including iZombie, passed away on February 26.
Jim Beaver, her Supernatural co-star, was the one who announced the news and shared an emotional social media post of the two of them together on set.
“Carrie Anne Fleming was cast as my wife on Supernatural in my fifth season on the show. I fell for her hard, and I did it mere seconds after meeting her. To my joy and shock, it seems the same thing happened to her,” he wrote in a lengthy post on Facebook.
Beaver recalled the day they met, they found out by chance their daughter’s had the same name.
It was a moment that felt like a movie and one that started their friendship.
“We ran lines of dialogue together in my trailer and talked for hours that first day, and the electricity between us was practically visible. She was a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill and amazingly good nature, with a rapturous laugh and an utterly adorable personality that didn’t seem to have an off switch. I was so in love I think my eyes turned silver. She seemed to think I was worth hanging around with, too,” he continued.

“I lost Cecily to cancer in 2004. Thursday, I lost Carrie to the same disease. I never thought my heart could break so badly more than once. But it has. But, oh, the two torches I carry — what bright, bright light they shed.”
Beaver confirmed to Variety that Fleming died of breast cancer complications.
Fleming was born in Nova Scotia in 1974 and went to school in Victoria, British Columbia, attending theatre school there too at the Kidco Theatre Dance Company.
Fleming broke into the entertainment industry with a recurring role on Viper and then landed a role in Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore.
She continued to work, landing several smaller roles until director Dario Argento cast her in his show Masters of Horror in 2005. In the role she played a disfigured woman with cannibalistic tendencies in her titular episode, Jenifer.
Fleming became known for her horror roles, with many of them spanning her career.
More recently she played Candy Baker in a recurring role on iZombie over five seasons.
But she also made some appearances in stage productions too, including Romeo and Juliet, Steel Magnolias and Fame.
Fleming is survived by her daughter Madalyn Rose and a memorial will be held for her, although no details have been announced as of yet.
