A representative for Christina Applegate has responded to claims the star has been hospitalised amid her battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Several media outlets reported the Married… With Children alum was admitted in late March, though it is unclear whether the reported hospital stay is related to the chronic disease.
Applegate’s spokesperson addressed the rumours in a statement released to US Weekly, but fell short of confirming whether or not there was any truth to them.
“I have no comment whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,” the statement read.
“She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”
The spokesperson refers to Applegate’s recent release You With the Sad Eyes, which details her journey navigating the incurable condition.
“When I wake up, I often can’t get my arm to move far enough to grab the cup of water by my bed or my phone from its charger,” she wrote of MS.

She revealed symptoms are often exacerbated by stress or trauma, both of which she endured throughout her childhood and adult life.
“I start vomiting, almost like my body is trying to stop the noise, too,” she wrote, “then I end up in the hospital again. I just want everything to stop. But it won’t stop.”
Applegate publicly revealed her diagnosis in 2021, and has spoken candidly about her experiences since.
In a piece written for the Guardian, the star said “I won’t lie and say any of this is a blessing.”

“I have a degenerative disease that has probably ended my performing career”.
Applegate confessed during an appearance on the Wild Card With Rachel Martin podcast that she’d already purchased burial plots for herself and two others, explaining she wanted to take control of the process early.
“I bought my plots already,” she said. “There’s going to be three of us there.”
The Dead to Me star added she planned to have a picnic at the site, describing it as “really pretty.”
The decision, she said, was also about easing the burden on her loved ones – particularly her teenage daughter, Sadie.
In her memoir, she also wrote of grieving the life she once had, including being a more active, hands-on parent.
Applegate wrote, “I know Sadie’s heart is broken at what has become of me.”
