The team blends explosive batting, experienced finishers, world-class all-rounders and a lethal bowling attack, reflecting the immense contribution of Indian and West Indian cricketers to the evolution of T20 cricket over the last two decades.
Power-packed batting unit filled with record-breakers
The opening partnership features Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma, two batters renowned for dominating bowling attacks from the outset. Gayle remains the highest run-scorer in T20 cricket history with more than 14,000 runs and an unmatched 22 centuries in the format. His ability to clear the boundary at will earned him the nickname “Universe Boss” and made him one of the most feared T20 batters of all time.
Joining him is Rohit, India’s most successful T20I captain and one of the format’s finest openers. Rohit has accumulated over 12,000 T20 runs, including multiple centuries, while his calm leadership has guided India to several memorable victories.
At No. 3, Bravo selected Virat Kohli, whose remarkable consistency has made him one of the greatest T20 batters ever. With more than 14,000 T20 runs at an average close to 42, Kohli has repeatedly delivered under pressure for both India and in franchise cricket.
Nicholas Pooran occupies the middle order after establishing himself as one of the most destructive left-handed batters in modern T20 cricket. The West Indies wicketkeeper-batter has scored over 10,000 T20 runs with a strike rate comfortably above 145, making him a dangerous presence against any bowling attack.
All-round depth gives Dwayne Bravo’s XI a winning balance
The middle order is strengthened by Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell, two players who redefined the role of T20 all-rounders. Pollard recently supassed Gayle in all-time T20 run record, amassed more than 14,500 runs while also taking 300-plus wickets, becoming one of the most dependable match-winners in franchise leagues around the world.

The former West Indies all-rounder retired as the leading wicket-taker in professional T20 cricket with over 630 wickets, while contributing more than 7,000 runs with the bat.

Experienced bowling attack rounds off the dream team
Bravo’s bowling attack combines variety, control and death-over expertise. Sunil Narine, one of the most economical spinners in T20 cricket, has taken more than 600 wickets while consistently troubling batters with his mystery spin. Bhuvneshwar Kumar brings swing and accuracy, boasting over 300 T20 wickets across international and domestic competitions. His ability to strike with both the new ball and in the closing overs has made him one of India’s most reliable fast bowlers.
Completing the XI is Jasprit Bumrah, widely considered one of the finest T20 pacers of the modern era. With over 300 wickets in T20 cricket and an exceptional economy rate, Bumrah has repeatedly proven why he is among the most feared bowlers in world cricket.
