The duo stitched together a match-winning partnership of 108 in just over ten overs putting Bangladesh on the back foot. Nissanka looked in sublime touch racing to a 50 off 34 balls with six boundaries and a six before falling to Mahedi Hasan.
Mishara continued the onslaught with a composed unbeaten 46 off 32 deliveries linking powerful drives with smart placement to keep the required run rate under control. Kusal Mendis got a brief start and Dasun Shanaka added a quick cameo but it was the duo’s stand that sealed the fate of the contest. Sri Lanka reached the target in 14.4 overs with 32 balls to spare and six wickets in hand to claim a dominant win and send a statement of intent in Asia Cup 2025.
