Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma tore into the LSG bowling attack, combining power with precision in a remarkable opening stand. Rickelton was in destructive form, hammering 83 off just 32 deliveries with eight sixes, while Rohit matched the intensity with a classy 84 off 44 balls.

    Their partnership completely shifted the momentum, leaving LSG bowlers searching for answers. The duo’s fearless approach ensured that the required run rate never became a concern, turning what seemed like a challenging chase into a controlled pursuit.

    After the departure of the opening pair, Mumbai still required quick runs, but the middle order ensured there were no late hiccups. Naman Dhir played a handy knock of 23 off 12 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma made small but important contributions. Will Jacks added the finishing touch with a quick cameo as Mumbai Indians reached 229/4 in 18.4 overs.

    For Lucknow, M. Siddharth was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, but the rest of the attack struggled to contain the flow of runs on a surface that heavily favored batting.
