The trailer of ‘Jailer 2’ has set off an entire social media discussion, with Rajinikanth fans going berserk over the return of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. While many fans have heaped praise on the trailer’s mass elements, cameo appearances, and presentation of Nelson, there have been a few fans who have criticised its formulaic approach. The mix of excitement and criticism has made the trailer one of the major talking points ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
Rajinikanth fans praise Thalaivar ’s screen presence
The biggest excitement among fans appears to be around Rajinikanth’s screen presence and the way Nelson has presented the character. One fan wrote, “What I liked most here is the screen presence. Even in a packed trailer, your eyes automatically go to Rajini.” Another enthusiastic reaction said, “Superstar Rajinikanth & His Gang Look Better & Ruthless.”Fans also felt that the trailer may have deliberately kept some major moments under wraps, with one post claiming, “Nelson Has Hidden Important Material To Enjoy it in Theatre.” The strong response suggests that many viewers expect the sequel to deliver the same big-screen energy that made ‘Jailer’ a major success.
Mohanlal’s cameo becomes a major talking point
Interestingly, Rajinikanth was not the only star to dominate the online conversation after the trailer dropped. Mohanlal’s appearance, in particular, triggered a wave of reactions, with one fan posting, “Social Media is completely buzzing over that one shot of Lalettan.” Another viewer went a step further and joked, “Thalaivar himself got sidelined from the discussions.”The trailer also confirmed the presence of Mithun Chakraborty, while Shivarajkumar and Mohanlal return from the first film. Hakim Shahjahan’s presence also caught attention, with a fan calling it “promising & intriguing” and praising his screen presence. At the same time, not every reaction was positive, as one viewer described the trailer as “a huge disappointment” and felt it followed an outdated masala template.A particularly excited reaction summed up the expected theatrical experience with the statement, “No logic only magic kind theatrical padam.”
