India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the ongoing Hundred after suffering a hamstring injury while playing for Southern Brave, putting her participation in the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup in doubt.Southern Brave confirmed on Saturday that Rodrigues will miss the rest of the tournament, with Australian all-rounder Charlie Knott brought in as her replacement.“We can confirm that due to an injury suffered by Jemimah Rodrigues, we’ve signed Charli Knott as our injury replacement for the remainder of The Hundred. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jemi,” Southern Brave posted on X.Rodrigues, 25, scored 143 runs in six innings for Southern Brave, averaging 35.75 at a strike rate of 131.19. Her highest score was 42 not out.Her absence comes with Southern Brave still having two matches left as they chase a place in the final by finishing top of the table. They will face Manchester Super Giants and Trent Rockets in their remaining games.For India, the bigger concern is Rodrigues’ availability for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, which begins on August 28. India will start their campaign against Thailand in Dubai on August 30.Rodrigues has just under three weeks to recover from the injury before India’s opening match. The extent of her hamstring injury is yet to be ascertained, and her withdrawal from the Hundred could be a precaution to protect her fitness and avoid further damage.Rodrigues has scored 143 runs in six innings in this year’s Hundred, with her highest score of 42 not out coming as part of her campaign for Southern Brave.
