The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 exam was conducted between September 12 and 26, 2025, with a re-exam on October 14 for select candidates. As per reports from leading education portals, the result is expected to be declared in early November 2025. Candidates who qualify for Tier 1 will become eligible to appear for the CGL Tier 2 exam, which forms the next stage of the recruitment process. The result PDF will carry the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates, along with category-wise cut-off marks and details on how to access individual scorecards.

Once released, the SSC CGL Tier 1 result will be available on the official SSC website — ssc.gov.in. The commission will publish a PDF merit list containing roll numbers of qualified candidates. Along with this, a separate link will be activated for individual scorecards and marks, which can be accessed by logging into the candidate portal using registration ID and password. As per current updates, the result is expected in the first or second week of November 2025, following the release of the provisional answer key on October 16.

How to download SSC CGL Tier 1 result and scorecard

Candidates can check their result and scorecard by following these simple steps:

    1. Visit the official SSC website – ssc.gov.in.

Expected cut-off and merit list details

The SSC will release category-wise cut-off marks alongside the result. These cut-offs vary for UR, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories depending on the number of vacancies and difficulty level of the exam. The merit list will mention roll numbers of those who qualify for Tier 2. Based on previous trends, candidates can expect competitive cut-offs for Assistant, Income Tax Officer, and other Group B posts, as these attract higher applications.

What’s next after tier 1 result?

Candidates shortlisted in the Tier 1 result will proceed to the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam, which tests advanced reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general awareness, and English comprehension. The final merit list will be prepared based on normalized scores across both stages.
