Though his innings was cut short by Matt Parkinson, it provided the much-needed impetus for Hampshire’s recovery. Joe Weatherley’s resilient unbeaten 63 off 46 balls, coupled with valuable contributions from James Fuller (27 off 17) and Benny Howell (23 off 14), propelled Hampshire to a competitive total of 177 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs.

Kent’s dominant chase overshadows Brevis’s brilliance
Despite Brevis’s fireworks, Hampshire’s bowlers struggled to defend the target. Kent, led by a dominant Zak Crawley, chased down the score with an over to spare, finishing on 181 for 2. For Hampshire, Chris Wood was the only bowler to claim wickets, picking up both of Kent’s dismissals.
Kent’s chase was spearheaded by a superb opening partnership. Daniel Bell-Drummond blazed 61 off 40 deliveries, adorned with four fours and four sixes. However, it was Zak Crawley who truly anchored the innings, smashing an unbeaten 75 from just 43 balls, featuring seven fours and three sixes, expertly guiding Kent towards a comfortable victory.
