This adjustment places her alongside Richard Teng, which reinforces the company’s leadership as Binance focuses on increasing its global presence and building its Web3 ecosystem.
Before accepting this position, Yi He was instrumental as the chief marketing officer. Her promotion to co-CEO follows recognition of her contributions and influence within the organization.

Her experience dates back to Binance’s launch period, during which she worked closely on brand development and user relationships. Yi He’s leadership has been credited with shaping many of the firm’s strategies that have attracted a global user base.
Richard Teng became CEO after Changpeng Zhao stepped down in late 2023. Zhao resigned following legal actions related to breaches of US anti–money laundering regulations.
While Zhao has since received a pardon, decisions regarding any return to active management are still pending.
In the new structure, Yi He is expected to continue guiding product direction and community efforts, complementing Teng’s focus on regulated markets and compliance matters.
