    In a poignant open letter to their fans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has broken its three-month silence following the tragic stampede in June earlier this year. The franchise revealed that their absence from social media was not due to a lack of care, but rather a period of profound grief and reflection.

    Three month silence rooted in grief and reflection

    In a post on X, RCB shared that it has been nearly three months since their last update. The franchise explained that the silence was not due to absence but a period of grief. Once a space filled with energy, memories and cherished moments, everything changed on June 4, a day that left hearts broken. The team added that the silence was their way of holding space while they grieved, reflected, and learned.

    “It’s been close to three months since we last posted here. The Silence wasn’t Absence. It was Grief. This space was once filled with energy, memories and moments that you enjoyed the most. But June 4th changed everything. That day broke our hearts, and the silence since then has been our way of holding space. In that silence, we’ve been grieving. Listening. Learning. And slowly, we’ve begun to build something more than just a response. Something we truly believe in,” the letter stated.

    Franchise vows to walk forward together with fans after June tragedy

    RCB has returned to social media, announcing their comeback with a message of care, not celebration. The team is committed to standing with their fans and moving forward together, reinforcing their promise to always be the pride of Karnataka. More information will be shared soon.

    “We return to this space today, not with celebration but with care. To share. To stand with you. To walk forward, together. To continue being the pride of Karnataka. RCB CARES. And we always will. More details soon…,” the letter added.

    RCB clinched their maiden IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. However, the celebrations turned tragic the very next day as 11 people lost their lives during victory celebrations in a stampede outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
