IIT Roorkee has released on Tuesday the full timetable and key updates for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, providing clarity for lakhs of engineering aspirants across the country. The exam is scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, with two sessions each day. The announcement comes with significant changes aimed at widening access and increasing flexibility for candidates. The institute has added two new papers, Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM), taking the total to 30. Candidates can now choose up to two papers, and eligibility has been relaxed to include third-year undergraduate students. The revised structure positions GATE as a key gateway to top MTech programmes, public sector jobs, and research opportunities, reflecting the evolving demands of India’s engineering landscape.
