    Ben Pope: Chicago Blackhawks forward Andre Burakovsky was on the ice before practice. Forward Teuvo Teravainen and defenseman Matt Grzelcyk didn’t practice.

    Charlie Roumeliotis: Blackhawks goaltender Laurent Brossoit was on the ice for practice.

    CBJ Public Relations: Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

    Harvey Valentine: Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski left last night’s game in the second period with an upper-body injury. Forward Mathieu Olivier left last night’s game in the first period with an upper-body injury.

    NHL Rumors: The Anaheim Ducks Won’t be Pushed to Trade Pavel Mintyukov

    Robby Stanley: Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad returned to the lineup after missing one game with an upper-body injury.

    Minnesota Wild PR: Forward Vinnie Hinostroza was placed on the IR with a lower-body injury retroactive to November 21st. He is listed as week-to-week.

    New Jersey Devils: Forward Cody Glass returned to the lineup last night.

    Vince Z. Mercogliano: New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller is day-to-day. Goaltender Jonathan Quick is out with a lower-body injury. Forward Vincent Trocheck missed their morning skate for precautionary reasons.

    NHL: Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk could return “sooner than later,” according to coach Travis Green. They play on Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and next Tuesday.

    Seth Rorabaugh: Pittsburgh Penguins forward Bryan Rust is dealing with an illness that they don’t believe to be too serious. Forward Ville Koivunen has been cleared for contact. Goaltender Tristan Jarry is starting to increase his workload at practice as he recovers from his injury.

    Eduardo A. Encina: Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak is week-to-week. Coach Jon Cooper said that Cernak’s injury is different from the one that caused him to miss two games last week. Forward Brayden Point wasn’t in the lineup last night and is questionable for Wednesday.

    Jonas Siegel: Toronto Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said that defenseman Jake McCabe is fine and will play against the Blue Jackets. Forwards Auston Matthews, Matthew Knies, and Nic Roy are “close” to returning, according to Berube. Goaltender Anthony Stolarz and defenseman Brandon Carlo are still not skating. Stolarz is “a ways away.”

    NHL Rumors: Sharks, Sabres, Canadiens, and the Penguins

    • Terry Koshan: Berube: “I’d say Matthews, Knies, Roy are close. I’ll probably know tomorrow if they’re available Wednesday.”
    • Luke Fox: Stolarz hasn’t been on the ice since November 11th.

    Terry Koshan: Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev was on the ice before practice.
