CEED, UCEED anwer key 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released the final answer key for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026 and the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2026. Along with this, the institute has also made the question paper PDFs available on its official portals.Candidates who appeared for the exams can now check the final answers on uceed.iitb.ac.in/2026/ and ceed.iitb.ac.in/2026/.These entrance tests open the door to Bachelor of Design (BDes), Master of Design (MDes), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes offered by participating institutes.
When were UCEED and CEED 2026 held?
Both UCEED and CEED 2026 were conducted on January 18, 2026, in a test-centre based format. The examination lasted three hours, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.Thousands of students took part in the national-level tests, which are considered key gateways to design education in India.The entrance examination was divided into two parts.Part A included objective-type questions such as:
- Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Multiple Selection Questions (MSQs)
Part B focused on creative skills.For UCEED candidates, this section tested drawing and design aptitude. For CEED aspirants, it assessed drawing and writing abilities.Together, both parts aimed to measure analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Objection window now closed
IIT Bombay had earlier opened a short window for candidates to raise concerns about the draft answer key and question papers.Students were required to submit objections only through the candidate login portal. Email requests were not accepted. Each objection had to include the question number along with proper justification. The last date to submit comments was January 22, 2026. After reviewing all valid submissions, the institute has now published the final answer key.
CEED 2026 result dates
As per the official schedule:
- CEED 2026 results will be declared on March 4, 2026
- Scorecards will be available for download from March 10, 2026
The CEED scorecard will remain valid for one year from the date of result declarationIIT Bombay has made it clear that all updates related to results and admission processes will be shared only through its official portals.
