NEED TO KNOW
- A car that appeared to be a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle was reportedly raffled off at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding, NBC News reports
- The Chevelle appeared to be the same make and model that Kelce famously drove Swift in on their first public date after a Chiefs game in 2023, the outlet reported
- Guests reportedly earned raffle entries by winning games during the reception, with additional prizes including designer handbags
One lucky guest at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding reportedly left not only with memories — but also a "Getaway Car"!
The "Opalite" singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, got married in a star-studded wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
After saying 'I do,' the happy couple provided hours of entertainment for guests at the reception. Now NBC News is reporting that the party featured a number of games that earned winners raffle tickets for prizes including designer handbags and a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, two unnamed guests told the outlet.
The vintage car has a notable connection to Swift and Kelce's love story: It's the same make and model of the convertible that the NFL star drove off in with the "Karma" singer after she attended her first Chiefs game in Kansas City in September 2023, per NBC News.

The post-game departure effectively confirmed Swift and Kelce's relationship, which began months prior, Swift told Time magazine in a December 2023 cover story. Their romance began after Kelce bemoaned not meeting Swift at the Kansas City Eras Tour concert he attended.
“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," Swift told the publication at the time, adding that "we were a couple" when they drove off in the Chevelle. "I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."
After the couple tied the knot, a rep for Swift confirmed the marriage to PEOPLE.
"The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry," Swift's rep said in a statement.

The statement continued: "Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler."
On July 4, an insider shared exclusive details from the event with PEOPLE.
"It looked like a forest," the insider said of the fete's decor, which included ferns and trees, along with white arena seat covers.
“Taylor walked down the aisle to a stage where they said ‘I do,' " the insider continued, adding, that the vows — which they read from books — "were about 20 minutes each."
The pair also provided guests with embroidered handkerchiefs for any emotional moments throughout the evening.

“After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom invited everyone into the reception room where a stage was set up," the insider said, adding that Paul McCartney performed the Beatles' classic "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and that Stevie Nicks also performed.
At the reception, guests enjoyed catering from food stations with Italian cuisine, sushi and passed trays, and "there were bars everywhere," the insider said, adding that despite the size of the venue, "It was very crowded!"

Swift and Kelce invited a who's who of A-list guests to their big day, from Selena Gomez and Jennifer Lopez to Brad Pitt and Tom Hanks.
Roughly 1,000 people were invited to the fete — but Swift had actually teased how big the party would be in an interview on The Graham Norton Show last year.
"I know it’s going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount, and people are on the bubble. And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that," she said at the time. "It’s like, ‘We had to have hung out eight times. You’re on the bubble. We’ve hung out five times.' You don’t have to think about it. It’s going to be fun."
