The Minnesota Wild have been all over Dylan Larkin since day one

Mike Rupp: “So the Dylan Larkin situation, obviously, all that kind of goes down (Thursday). The Minnesota Wild is that is that what you is that the leading candidate at this point, or or is there a bunch of teams that are getting in deep discussions?”
Friedman: “You know what, Michael? It’s really hard to say what like who’s the leading candidate.

What what I do think is going on though is that he’s got a list of teams everybody knows about 10 teams that he he has agreed that he would be willing to be traded to. Some of those teams, like Vegas, like you know, another one there that I look at is is Florida. I just don’t see a match. I I don’t see how it can happen trade wise. I don’t see how it can happen cap wise. I don’t see how it can happen fit wise. So there’s not a full group of teams there. So there’s not a full group of teams there.

The impression I really get from talking to people around the league, Michael, is that Minnesota thinks they have a great offer on the table, or you know, the best offer of those teams on the table.
And it’s believed to be (Danila) Yurov, another player, and I think two or three firsts. Like it’s a bunch of first-round picks, and Detroit has indicated that obviously, if that was good enough for Detroit, it would be done already. And Detroit’s indicated they want more for the now, not just for the future.
So one thing that’s definitely happened is that the the Red Wings have had some teams who are not on that list, and I think among those teams are Montreal, Buffalo, and St. Louis, who have tried to come forward and say, ‘You know what, we are, we would like you to consider these teams because potentially these teams have things that we would like to do.’ And so far Larkin has not gone to those has said yes to that.
I do think that Larkin and his agents, Pat Brisson, believe that there’s, there’s an offer out there that they think is acceptable. That the team doesn’t think is acceptable, then and they do. And that’s why we got to this point where Larkin decided it was time, and he had enough, as he said, as Brisson said yesterday.

But it’s basically just a will right now. It’s like two sides in trenches, and they’re arguing with each other about, and they’re dug in deep, and they’re arguing about how this is going to end.
But I think that’s, I think Minnesota feels confident they’ve got a good offer out there, but it’s obviously not good enough for Detroit.
