Nashville Predators prospect coming over for next season

Potential destinations where Nikita Kucherov could end up through trade or free agency
Greg Wyshynski of ESPN: Tampa Bay Lightning GM Julian BriseBois’ concern was what a potential Nikita Kucherov extension would do to his salary structure and how it affects their salary cap flexibility. BriseBois does have a history of moving on from players who are looking for a a big commitment in term and money – see Steven Stamkos, Alex Killorn, and Yanni Gourde. BriseBois has said that he has no intention of trading Kucherov, but it doesn’t mean that he won’t.
NHL Rumors: Blackhawks, Predators, and the Sharks
Trade or free agent options that could be of interest.
Montreal Canadiens – Already have some really good players on really good deals. May need a center over a winger, but you can make exceptions. A three-team trade: Larkin to Tampa, Kucherov to Montreal, and Red Wings get a Canadiens package.
Utah Mammoth – Kucherov is good friends with Mikhail Sergachev, and could play beside Clayton Keller or Logan Cooley.
Vegas Golden Knights – They’d have to find a way to bury a lot of salary.
Dallas Stars – The Stars have just under $22 million coming off the books with Jason Robertson and Tyler Seguin. It’s not known how the contract talks with Robertson will go.
New York Rangers – Speeding up the retool/rebuild. They’ll have the cap space and follow Russian Igor Shesterkin.
Chicago Blackhawks – Would take some convincing to sign, given how their rebuild is taking longer than planned. They do have some young players to offer in a trade that might interest the Lightning.
Nikita Kucherov Could be an Offseason Thing, and a Julian BriseBois Conspiracy?
Tampa Bay Lightning – Kucherov’s issue is only with BriseBois. Is there a way they could co-exist? Don’t think he’ll get traded before the deadline, but they could deal his rights after the season.
