Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Hudson Team Up for New Song ‘One Right Here’: ‘It Doesn’t Get Better Than This’

The pair debuted the song, written by Diane Warren, at Bocelli’s Hollywood Bowl show on Tuesday, Sept. 15

Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Hudson are creating movie magic.

In less than a week, the Italian tenor, 68, and the EGOT winner, 45, will release a collaboration called “One Right Here” for the upcoming film Maserati: The Brothers.

“‘One Right Here,’ the original song for Maserati: The Brothers, brings together Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Hudson, with music and lyrics by Diane Warren,” a collaborative Instagram post shared on Sept. 15 read.

The post added, “[It’s] a song about having someone by your side through anything and everything, reflecting the bonds of family and the relationships at the heart of the film.”

In a press release, Warren, 70, said that she wrote the song “with Andrea Bocelli in mind.”

“It’s always been a dream of mine to have Andrea sing one of my songs, and when he was interested, it was amazing,” the songwriter said. “Then I thought, what if we brought Jennifer Hudson into it? They come from two different musical worlds, but together they created this world of beauty. It turned out even better than I imagined, and I really believe this is one of the best songs — and one of the best melodies — I’ve ever written.”

On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Bocelli surprised the audience at his show at the Hollywood Bowl and brought out Hudson and Warren to debut the song. Bocelli and Hudson were also joined by David Foster for a rendition of “The Prayer.”

“It doesn’t get any better than singing with Andrea Bocelli! Performing ‘The Prayer’ together is something I’ll always cherish, and then to debut our brand new song ‘One Right Here’ at the Hollywood Bowl… AND to have the legendary songwriters of both of these beautiful duets at the piano… David Foster and Diane Warren. What an absolute dream,” Hudson wrote in a Facebook post.

The Hollywood Bowl show marked the first of two nights Bocelli spent at the legendary Los Angeles venue on his ongoing Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour.

Hudson shared a behind-the-scenes video of herself preparing for the performance, in which she did a soundcheck with Bocelli and took a selfie with Warren. Her 17-year-old son David, who goes by DOJ, also surprised her backstage.

“I’m with one of my favorite vocalists of all time and my favorite songwriter ever,” the talk show host said in excitement, adding that the Hollywood Bowl is “the most beautiful place to perform.”

“The singer in me is so content. What more could a girl ask for?” Hudson added.

Bocelli’s world tour is currently slated to conclude on July 22, 2027 at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, Italy. The 30th anniversary reissue of Romanza, which includes “Time to Say Goodbye,” a duet with Sarah Brightman, “Vivo per Lei” featuring Giorgia and a previously unreleased extended version of “Con te Partirò,” dropped on Friday, Sept. 25.
