Blake Lively is the queen bee of the Met Gala steps.

Since attending the event for the first time in 2008, the Gossip Girl alum has brought the drama with her fashion choices.

When it comes to adhering to the theme, Lively always plays things up with her looks (and has often found herself going as far as matching the actual red carpet).

Notably, she paid tribute to New York City with a fabulous gown and crown as she co-chaired alongside her husband Ryan Reynolds in 2022. In fact, the event holds a special significance for the couple as it's where they made their red carpet debut as a couple back in 2014. And she didn't disappoint this year, as she wore another breathtaking Versace creation for the "Costume Art" theme.

Blake Lively sat on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in many episodes of Gossip Girl, and in 2008, she made her way inside to attend her very first Met Gala alongside costar and then-boyfriend Penn Badgley.

For her Met Gala debut, the actress wore a black Ralph Lauren strapless gown embellished with feathers on the trumpet skirt. She tied the whole look together with black gloves and sparkling bracelets.

For the 2009 Met Gala, where the theme was "The Model As Muse," Lively donned a blue Versace gown that looked like it came straight out of Serena van der Woodsen's closet. Simple hair and accessories allowed the dress to be the center of attention.

For the "PUNK: Chaos to Couture" exhibition at the 2013 Met Gala, Lively opted for an edgier look, a strapless Gucci Première gown with a full feather-and-organza skirt and smoky eye makeup.

In an interview with Vogue ahead of the event, Lively referred to the Met Gala look as her "favorite dress ever."

Lively looked absolutely regal as she posed alongside husband Reynolds during the 2022 gala, where they both served as co-chairs alongside Oscar-winner Regina King and Broadway superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda.

While Reynolds donned a simple velvet tux, Lively wore a crown, opera gloves, and drop earrings paired with an extravagant Atelier Versace gown. She later wowed with a quick costume change as her bow transformed into a long blue train.
