Brooke Shields and Her Daughter Rowan Step Out in Mother-Daughter Monochrome Looks in N.Y.C.

Brooke Shields and daughter Rowan Francis Henchy are putting a mother-daughter spin on the monochrome trend.

The model and her daughter were photographed at the premiere of Shields' latest TV project, You're Killing Me, in New York City on Thursday, May 7.

Shields, 60, sported a bright red leather dress. The strapless dress included a ruching detail that gathered on the side seam. The form-fitting dress hit at her shins and featured a sexy slit. She paired the dress with bright red pointed-toe pumps and a silver geometric clutch.

Rowan, who will turn 23 on May 15, opted for a sea-foam green pantsuit. Her double-breasted jacket lay atop the matching wide-leg trousers. Unlike her mother, Rowan kept her monochrome look going with a sea-foam baguette purse.

Shields shares daughters Rowan and Grier Hammond, 20, with husband Chris Henchy.

Rowan and Shields were recently photographed together ahead of attending Animal Haven's Benefit for the Animals on April 30, wearing coordinated gowns. Shields donned a shimmering black gown with a black satin pointed-toe pump. Rowan wore a one-shoulder navy blue lace gown with black rounded-toe heels.

One day before the You're Killing Me premiere, Shields and Rowan had a cheeky segment together for Extra, with Rowan interviewing her mother.

"We are celebrating Mother's Day in a very special way. I was able to get an exclusive interview — I don't know how I did it, pulled some strings, made some calls—with the Hollywood icon, brow expert and professional nagger, my mom, Brooke Shields," Rowan began in the segment.

"Nagger? No, I encourage," Shields replied.

During their conversation, Shields opened up about her perspective on motherhood, telling Rowan that the day she was born, "My life became fully, fully real."

"You make me the happiest being a mother," she said. "I'm just so proud of who you are."

In a 2024 conversation with PEOPLE, Shields said she's in "awe" of her daughters.

“All of a sudden, they're not yours,” she said. “When you realize they are their own human beings, you get to meet them again. To have them reveal themselves to you, it's a new type of relationship. I didn't mold them but I protected them enough so that they could become who they are and I got out of the way.”

"I feel if you've done it in a healthy way, you start to revel in these people that you actually like," Shields said of her daughters. "They go away and then they come back and I now get such a kick out of watching and listening to them.”
