Why does the report make sense?
The claims make sense as the Indian team management has been trying out multiple emerging talents, who either did well in the IPL or in domestic cricket, across formats. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is not the only batter who has impressed the selectors and is now a part of the squad of the T20I squad and the teams for the other two formats as well.
Suryansh Shedge, Ravi Bishnoi, and Prince Yadav are among the notable names who have been picked for the T20 International cricket. For the Zimbabwe series, the selectors have named a bunch of other emerging players who were impressive in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League with their respective franchises.
Harsh Dubey, Yash Thakur, Ashok Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh, and even Mayank Yadav are named for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has a clear intention to offer opportunities to the candidates who performed well in the recent past.
