Dylan Larkin has had enough, and the Red Wings could suspend him
Pierre LeBrun: Dylan Larkin’s agent, Pat Brisson, on Larkin deciding to not play anymore as he awaits a trade: “Dylan’s had enough of the situation. We believe he’s been very professional and cooperative through this process.”
Darren Dreger: “Clearly CAA and Larkin feel like there are trades with teams on his 10 team list that have been close and could have been finalized. Hence, they apply pressure. Detroit doesn’t appear interested in a futures driven return and can’t make a bad trade. The Wings need a decent player or two for Larkin.”
Ansar Khan: The Detroit Red Wings could suspend Larkin as they continue to work on a trade.
Darren Dreger: If the Red Wings suspend Larkin, he’ll forfeit $41,237.11 per day.
NHL Rumors: Calgary Flames, Detroit Red Wings, and the Minnesota Wild
Anthony Corona: From David Pagnotta: “The Washington Capitals, Minnesota Wild, New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes are among the teams that have been engaged in talks with Detroit this week, per sources.”
Emily Kaplan: Believe that the Wild have made one of the stronger offers for Larkin. The Red Wings are seeing in anyone else steps up.
The Capitals and Mammoth are interesting teams to keep an eye on. Both are looking to add but have been told that neither team has had recent talks with the Red Wings about Larkin.
Capitals forward Ryan Leonard has not been involved in any trade talks.
Dylan Larkin trade talks picking up but that doesn’t mean a deal is imminent
TSN: Pierre LeBrun’s sources have said that trade talks have escalated, but that doesn’t mean a trade is about to go down. LeBrun still thinks the Minnesota Wild are a team to watchh as they have been aggressive and have made the most offers, but are limited on their offers as they gave up assets last year for Quinn Hughes.
NHL Rumors: Detroit Red Wings, Dylan Larkin, and the Buffalo Sabres
“And there’s only so many things they can offer Detroit. And that’s been the stumbling block. But I do think the Wild keep pushing.
There are other teams on that list, like Washington, who I don’t think is a fit right now. Florida has been there from the beginning they were one of the original three teams, but I’m told the Panthers never really engaged and I don’t think they have to this point either.”
The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins are not on Larkin’s list but have interest.
