Google has rolled out Opal, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered app builder, to users in 15 more countries.
The AI tool, which helps people build basic web apps through simple text descriptions, is accessible in parts of Asia, Latin America, and North America.
The newly included countries are India, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Pakistan, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panamá, Honduras, and El Salvador.

Opal is designed to simplify the app creation process. Instead of writing code, users describe the kind of tool they want to make. Google’s models then turn that idea into a working version.
Once built, the app can be viewed and adjusted through a visual editor. Each part of the app, including inputs, outputs, and other steps, is presented in a block-style layout.
When the app was first released in the US, Google expected users to build casual or playful tools. However, many users surprised the company by making detailed and useful apps.
Megan Li, a product manager at Google Labs, noted in a blog post that the creativity shown by early users highlighted the potential for broader global use.
Along with the expansion, Google has introduced updates to improve the app’s functionality. One major upgrade focuses on debugging. While keeping the platform code-free, users can run each step individually to find and fix issues.
