AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is expected to declare the results of Class 12 and Class 10 examinations next week, bringing an end to the long wait of nearly 15.28 lakh students across the state. According to sources, Class 12 results for both Science and General streams will likely be announced on May 4, while Class 10 results are scheduled for May 6. An official announcement is expected soon.This year’s timeline closely follows last year’s pattern. In 2025, Class 12 Science, GUJCET and General stream results were declared on May 5, followed by Class 10 results on May 8. Notably, the results were announced a day after the NEET examination, and a similar trend is anticipated this year as well. NEET 2026 is scheduled for May 3, after which the board is expected to make its official declaration.The board conducted the Class 10 and 12 examinations from Feb 26 to March 18. A total of 15,27,724 students registered, including 9,07,175 students in Class 10. Among them were 7,69,994 regular candidates, 19,825 private candidates, 70,702 repeaters, 5,386 private repeaters and 41,286 separate candidates.For Class 12 General stream, 5,01,286 students registered, including 4,37,279 regular, 35,174 private, 15,813 repeaters, 7,873 private repeaters and 5,147 separate candidates. In the Science stream, 1,19,263 students appeared, including 1,11,294 regular candidates, 7,690 repeaters and 279 separate candidates.Evaluation work began immediately after the exams concluded. The board set up 454 evaluation centres and deployed 75,821 teachers. Of these, 213 centres with 39,962 teachers assessed Class 10 papers, while 172 centres with 29,804 teachers evaluated Class 12 General stream. Additionally, 69 centres with 9,055 teachers handled Class 12 Science evaluation.Alongside Class 12 Science results, the GUJCET 2026 results will also be declared on May 4. The entrance exam, conducted on March 29 for engineering and pharmacy admissions, saw around 1.32 lakh students appear out of 1.36 lakh registered candidates.With all evaluation processes completed, the board is now finalising preparations for the result announcements.
